New Home Warranty Inspections
Have you purchased or living in a new home?

The Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act (ONHWP Act), as amended, provides protection for Ontario estate purchasers of new homes. Every new home in Ontario is protected by mandatory warranties provided by your builder and administered by Tarion Warranty Corporation ("Tarion™").
To ensure you have a successful new home experience, there are a few things you must do to protect your home’s statutory warranty. Your role as a homeowner is to submit warranty forms on time to the Tarion™ and the builder to ensure you're not putting your home’s statutory warranty in jeopardy. It is to you, the homeowner, to find and report any deficiencies in the new home. During a NCR home inspection, our Certified Master Inspector® will provide a comprehensive inspection of the home as well as a complete list of deficiencies to the homeowner. This will allow the homeowner to submit a claim to the builder or Tarion™ prior to the deadline if any issues are discovered. This makes the process faster, easier and ensures that the relevant issues which may be covered by the warranty are included for the builder to manage the repairs. In this instance, a home inspection is critical and your timing is vital as you will only have one chance to submit them within the deadline.
